This is a community subreddit so lets try and keep the discourse polite. After installing both, I now get no errors, but also have no interfaces like before.
#Peakhour no interfaces found code
There are millions of lines of unaudited code and exposing them to random internet traffic is a potential risk. I unistalled everything, re-downloaded the 1.7.1 Developer version of WireShark and downloaded WinPCap version 4.1.2 directly from . Observation 1, never run Wireshark as an admin. Option 2 - Leave IPv6 disabled and remove the IPv6 line in /etc/hosts. I read and read and read to finding no solution. Reboot the server to finish enabling IPv6. My dumpcap already has the right permissions and is functional on older Wireshark versions (2.6.10). But this does not seem to be an issue with dumpcap permissions. It does not show any interfaces to capture packets from. Run yast lan > Global Options > check Enable IPv6 > select OK. I have an issue with Wireshark 3.2.3 (compiled from source). This subreddit is primarily for the community to help each other out, if you have something you want the maintainers of the project to see we recommend posting in the appropriate category on our Netgate forum. There are two options available to resolve the issue. If you are looking to sell or buy used hardware, please try /r/hardwareswap. If you are looking for help with basic networking concepts, please try /r/homelab or for more advanced, /r/networking.ĭo not post items for sale in this subreddit. We have a great community that helps support each other, but we also provide 24x7 commercial support.īefore asking for help please do the following: Update: Got the Ubit card to work after directly. From a quick Google, I find a Ubit NIC, with an unknown chip Ubit 8104-T4 Chipset. The latter message means it didnt detect any usable Network cards.

It's true I left WinPCap out of the installation process I don't remember why, but when I look it up I see the publishers deprecate it. The documentation claims this should mean I don't have WinPCap or NPCap installed.
#Peakhour no interfaces found install
You can install the software yourself on your own hardware. First message is usually because you changed (network) hardware and former interface names are different e.g. grahamb ( Apr 5 '19 ) No, nothing shown 'front and center', eitherin fact the main window says 'No interfaces found'. You can buy official pfSense appliances directly from Netgate or a Netgate Partner.

The pfSense project is a free, open source tailored version of FreeBSD for use as a firewall and router with an easy-to-use web interface.
